I'm Jealous

Yes, I'm jealous of Emma, my cat. I have trouble sleeping and have for years and years. My son and I were in the family room on a freezing cold Saturday morning and Emma was sitting in the sun. My son started laughing and I looked over. Emma had fallen asleep sitting up and gradually went face down onto the beanbag chair - and kept sleeping. She woke when I turned on my camera and proceeded to go back to sleep sitting up. Damn right I'm jealous!! I have no idea what it must be like to be in such a deep sleep.

Nobody could have asked for a better cat. Thanks for all the snuggles, head butts, conversations and millions of laughs. We will miss your help with the printer, stealing our Doritos and Capn’ Crunch and getting closed in the dresser drawers. Rest in peace dear friend.

Wonderful Wednesday

A few weeks ago I posted a find that reminded me of my black cat, Stormy. I don't want to play favorites, so this week I went looking for something that represented Emma, my tabby. I found this cute candle holder in memekiwii's shop. Her tag line is "Funky Folk Art Pottery + Whimsical Art Works" and that is exactly what you will find here.

My Helper, Again

I have blogged in the past about my cat, Stormy, and how she thinks the printer is a very fun cat toy. Well, I thought we had gotten past that as she had not shown interest in quite a while. Obvisously I was wrong. I had coupons I wanted to print and I had to get my son to soccer. So I hit the print button and walked out the door. This is what I returned to. It seems that my helper thought she had to help the paper out of the printer and then kill it for me. Oh well, so much for saving time. She's just lucky that she's cute.

My Helper

This is Stormy. She loves to help me when I use the printer. By help I mean that she likes to pounce on the paper as it gets fed into the printer. She also likes to grab the paper and help it out of the printer. Stormy also can flip open the printer cover where the ink goes.

I try to print when she is sleeping, but as you may know, cats have very good hearing and I have a very loud printer. When the printer starts Stormy comes flying from wherever she is in the house, slides across the desk, sending papers scattering and parks herself right in front of the printer. Gone are the days of hitting the print button and going off to do something else while the printer does its magic. Now the printer needs to be babysat unless you don’t mind coming back to a shredded document.

Good thing she is a lovable, funny and dopey pile of mush or she would have been hung up by her ears long ago.
